Recent Projects

Here you will find information on some of my more recent projects. Click the IMAGE to link to further information.

Shibusa

Shibui is a Japanese term which refers to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive. Shibusa is an enriched, subdued appearance or experience of intrinsically fine quality with economy of form, line, and effort, producing a timeless tranquility.

I often print these images digitally onto traditional handmade Washi paper or by the Alternative Print methods onto Rice Paper.

Virtual Exhibition

In 2018 I held my first solo exhibition outside the UK called 'Illusions of Reality' which was highly successful. Take a tour of my Illusions of Reality exhibition, online at Artsteps by clicking the image. Just click the full screen mode and the play button to get the most from your virtual experience!

The 100

A social history project in which I hope to capture the 'lived' experience of people and their place in the community for the history of the future.

Inspired by the photographic pioneers of the past, (such as Henri Cartier Bresson), we capture the unusual and the ordinary of everyday life. Often referred to a 'Humanist' photography, it encompases everything related to human affairs.

The Maltese Way

This portfolio is a mix of casual portraits depicting a population undertaking commonplace daily rituals, traditions, crafts and pastimes, bringing together a collection of narratives that seek to establish individuals in their natural environments, giving them a sense of place.
