Street Photography - The 100
A social history project in which I hope to capture the 'lived' experience of people and their place in the community for the history of the future.
Inspired by the photographic pioneers of the past, (such as Henri Cartier Bresson), we capture the unusual and the ordinary of everyday life. Often referred to a 'Humanist' photography, it encompases everything related to human affairs.
Shibusa
Shibui is a Japanese term which refers to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive. Shibusa is an enriched, subdued appearance or experience of intrinsically fine quality with economy of form, line, and effort, producing a timeless tranquility.
I often print these images digitally onto traditional handmade Washi paper or by the Alternative Print methods onto Rice Paper.
