Submissions

 

Focus Quarterly invites submissions from photographers whose work demonstrates a reflective, poetic or philosophically informed approach to image-making.

Each issue presents a dialogue between the continuing work of the editor and that of an invited guest contributor. Submissions are therefore reviewed with care and selectivity in order to maintain the reflective character of the journal.

Submission Guidelines

 

Work should be submitted in digital form using a recognised large-file transfer service (for example WeTransfer or MailBigFile) and directed to the email address on the Contact page..

​

• Image files: TIFF format, RGB (Adobe 1998), 300ppi

• Text material: RTF, Microsoft Word or Apple Pages formats

 

By prior arrangement, physical submissions may also be sent by post or courier to the address listed on the Contact page.

Editorial Consideration

 

Submission does not guarantee publication.

 

All material is reviewed at the discretion of the editor and may be subject to sequencing or minor editorial adjustment in keeping with the visual coherence of the journal.

 

Contributors whose work is selected grant Focus Quarterly permission to reproduce submitted material in connection with publication and promotional activity relating to the journal.

Copyright and Responsibility

 

Contributing artists remain responsible for securing any necessary permissions relating to third-party material included within their submissions.

While all reasonable care is taken, Focus Quarterly cannot accept liability for loss or damage to submitted digital files.
