FOCUS QUARTERLY JOURNAL

Cover of Focus Quarterly Journal features Portrait of Alfred Stieglitz

Focus Quarterly forms a central strand within my current photographic activity.

Conceived as both publication and creative framework, the journal provides a space in which ideas surrounding process, sequencing and visual presence can be explored with continuity and care.

Each issue becomes an extension of studio practice — a place where images are not simply reproduced but thoughtfully brought into relationship with one another. The act of editing, pacing and printing is approached as an integral part of photographic expression, shaping how work is ultimately encountered and understood.

The publication also offers an opportunity for dialogue. By inviting a second artist into each edition, Focus Quarterlycreates a meeting point between differing sensibilities, encouraging subtle visual conversations to unfold across the printed page.

In this sense, the journal operates simultaneously as artefact, exhibition space and reflective notebook — a quiet but ongoing enquiry into the material and poetic possibilities of photography.
